This amateur site is absolutely no-profit, and aims at giving  full  information to tourists as well as to citizens.

Although I know there are many sites about Naples, I think only a few are sufficiently complete. Some are not very accurate, some are sponsored and some others are extremely sectorial. On the other hand, I would like to give the right image of my city which is fabulous but very difficult to live in, which has marvellous monuments and hidden treasures but many problems too.

However, what I really would like to do is to make people understand the changes Naples has been carrying out: a big city which in the last years has been trying to leave her past behind and rapidly moving to the future; a future accomplished in a new-reborn tourist vocation, in huge infrastructures, in the attempt to reclaim suburban areas, in the struggle against crimunality and malpractise.
It goes without saying that the most difficult thing to be changed is her fame in Italy and abroad! This will take ages! But as Neapolitans we are patient and by now we are quite happy to listen to positive comments and hear satisfied and surprised tourists promising they will come back!

In particular,  the site suggests an excurcus on Naples millenary history, a journey through her neighbours, a thorough analysis of the means of public transportation, a journey through famous monuments, streets and squares, universities, museums, parks and interesting places around Naples.

By this site which has been suggested by the love I have for my city,  I hope to raise interest and curiosity in those  who  don’t know Naples, or those who, unfortunately, only know  the aspects too often underlined on the news. I wish I could make people feel like coming  to see the clean face of my city, her cultural richness, her desire for development and modernity...

At least -but not at last- I must give special thanks to Mrs. Roberta Di Falco and Mrs. Terri Marshall, who translated these pages from Italian to English, helping me opening my site worldwide.
